Batala is a non-profit making international community music
project. All money earned from performances is put back into
the band. Besides being a community spirited band and 'Ambassadors
of the City' for the Capital of Culture 2008, Batala
Liverpool also has the professional experience in the industry to
offer a unique choice of performances tailored to any type of
event, no matter how big or small.
This experience ranges from club nights, birthday parties and
weddings to product launches, supporting a famous pop group,
launching a new range of cars, T.V shows, music festivals,
and major sporting events at venues such as Wembley and
Twickenham. We also take many bookings for the smaller things like
village fairs, parades, fun days and regularly support charity
events.
Batala generates a great deal of publicity locally and in two
separate occasions took up a double page, centre spread in the
Guardian newspaper after being photographed at Notting Hill. Batala
is a lively, noisy and colourful performance, and if you need
an even larger band, we can invite our sister groups to join us from around
the UK and the World to create an unforgettable International
fusion of well over 200 drummers.
Cost
Performances prices vary depending on the size, nature and
location of your event, as well as how many drummers are required.
We offer reduced rates for charities, fund-raisers, birthdays and
weddings.

 Batala never fail to
create a brilliant atmosphere at Liverpool ONE. They performed for
the First Anniversary and were involved in a programme of summer
entertainment including children's drumming workshops. They are
very well organised and ideal for a high impact event.

 In 2010, we worked
with Batala in Liverpool for the 17th UK Corporate Games - Europe's
largest corporate multisports festival. Batala led a procession of
some 50 companies for our Grand Parade of Athletes along the Albert
Dock and into the BT Convention Centre at the Echo Arena. The show
was breath-taking and the sound of the drums drew crowds from all
over the city. Their costumes were fantastic and it was clear to
see from their enthusiasm that they were enjoying performing as
much as we were watching them! If you are hosting an event and you
